Barons Nov 16th Update

I don’t think I have anything significant to share so I’m just going to give you some quick updates.

Plants – Some of them look the same and are even putting out new growth, some of them have all their leaves slowly dying off but are hanging in there and some even have new growth, and some have died.

Overall, I think it will set me back a few months but once they all recover, I will be back better than ever. Hardly anyone buys plants from November to January/February anyway so it was good timing.

A really good thing is that I have two listings on Etsy that have historically done well and I have been trying really hard to keep them active so I don’t lose my rankings. Those two plants happen to be some of the ones that survived the best so I’ve been able to keep those listings up this whole time – and have even sold a few of them.

Health – the program I’m doing for my digestion is pretty awesome. It is a nine-week course and has an average of two hours of video per week along with handouts and such. For many weeks she recommends supplements. Many of them I only have to take for 2-3 months. She hasn’t said how long to take some of them, but I’m guessing those will be more long-term.

My stomach has been feeling a lot better but I have several weeks left to even finish the course. At first, my “crashing” was doing a lot better but for the last week or so it started getting worse again so I am trying to figure out why.

My Life – I’ve enjoyed not working so much and have definitely made progress on my to-do list. It’s still plenty long though! Kayla, Ruby, Eliza, Angela, and I saw “Sister Act” at Hale Theater in Orem on Saturday and that was fun. Mostly my life right now is managing the calendar and making sure everyone is where they are supposed to be and going places myself.

Norm got picked for jury duty again. Seriously. It’s been like eight times in his life. He had to do tons of online “paperwork” and go to a three-hour Zoom meeting but then he was able to get out of it by telling them how it would be a hardship for his co-workers for him to get off work.

Kayla just found out she got into District Choir so she’s really excited about that. Imagine Kayla excited about something . . . That totally never happens. . . .

Ruby is enjoying play practice. She’s Manal in Aladdin the Musical, Jr. In this version Jasmine doesn’t have a pet tiger like in the animated version. Instead, she has three friends and Manal is one of them. I think Ruby has four lines and a few solo sentences in some songs. It’s in January so I can let you know more about it then.
